Western Railways known to be one of the oldest forms of Railways in India when the Britishers landed up in Bombay. Since then they made up Bombay Central(Mumbai Central) as their premier place of transportation causes in terms of trains. Well established in 15th November 1951, Western Railways has carried out all forms of their best rule with its earlier existence of Baroda, Bombay and Central India Railway Stations.
This gave up a boost to carry the existence more forward in a dynamic way of upbringing many new developments to many areas of aspects. With its immense hopes to build up more towards a daunting Railway in India, Western Railway carried out its first project to start a broad gauge route from Ankleshwar to Utran in Southern Gujarat. This project was enthusiastically drafted with 47 kilometres run between the destined place.
During the period of Gaekwads, Baroda Railway Station came into existence within the frame of Western Railway. After the existence, Western Railway, expanded its frame to Saurashtra Railways with its merge. This gave Western Railways even a broader platform for expanding its network of Railways all round its merged areas since then.
After that time, till now Western Railways has gave a big name to networks of Indian Railways since it has brought about a revelations of a biggest journeys in Railway Networks of India.
